Ryan is a born-and-raised Vancouver Islander, originally from Campbell River and currently living and practicing in the Comox Valley. Ryan was called to the British Columbia bar in 2017, and has gradually transitioned from a general litigation practice into a focus on exclusively family law. He has conducted successful trials at both the BC Supreme Court and BC Provincial Court level, and is prepared to provide his clients with a high level of skillful advocacy in matters that simply cannot be resolved outside of court. Perhaps more importantly, he has helped many more clients resolve their matters through negotiation and mediation, resulting in a fair resolution at a fraction of the price of proceeding to trial.
Ryan’s focus in family law litigation is to help parties move past petty issues and focus on the big picture as both prepare for the realities of separation. Separation is a difficult time, where emotions and finances are stretched thin and finding the right path forward can be confusing.
Outside the office, you can often find Ryan playing golf with his wonderful fiancée, playing guitar or drums at a local rock show, or trying in vain to keep up with the pace of beer league hockey.
